This park consists of four Mission buildings, which along with the more famous Alamo Mission in downtown San Antonio, form a UNESCO world heritage site. The outdoor theater hosts a variety of performances, from music to plays, dance recitals and opera. You can see some of the events on the official riverwalk events page here. Attractions in the area include the Witte Museum, the San Antonio Zoo, the DOSeum, San Antonio Museum of Art and Pearl Brewery. This river walk runs through Brackenridge Park, which is also home to a Golf Course and Japanese Tea Garden. Another popular shopping destination on the River Walk is the La Villita Historic Arts Village.

Narrated tour cruises are offered Monday through Sunday 10am to 10pm. May 2017, GO RIO was awarded a 10-year contract with the City of San Antonio to operate the river cruises. There are currently no Riverwalk restaurants that offer reservation based “community” type lunch or dinner cruises where you can join others on a boat for a meal. To book a charter lunch or dinner cruise, you first contact a Riverwalk restaurant and they will assist you in chartering the boat and cater the meal for you. Chartered dinner and lunch cruises seat a maximum of 20 guests but most recommend 16 to 18 people for comfort. The Museum Reach begins at Lexington and runs allthe way up to The Pearl. At times larger scooters are not able to load due to the size of the ADA area designated on the boat. Wheelchairs and strollers are always allowed though guests are asked to fold their strollers and place them in the back. A “Community” dining cruise is one where small groups, couples and individuals can join others on a boat for a dining cruise.
